Terms of use
Pre-launch draft. This text is an initial framework based on Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law. It needs review by a qualified lawyer and the company's registration details before official publication. Items in [brackets] are to be completed. The Arabic version prevails.
These terms govern use of wathila, a product by wathl. Last updated: [date].
The service
wathila is an AI voice agent embedded in websites, SaaS platforms and messaging channels. It answers customers, confirms and takes orders, opens tickets and hands over to the customer's staff.
Customer responsibilities
- Give the agent accurate, up-to-date information about the business.
- Inform their own customers about the service and about recording when it's on, and obtain the required consents.
- Only place outbound calls to people with an existing relationship or recorded consent, and honor requests to stop contact.
- Protect dashboard login details.
Prohibited use
- Unsolicited bulk calls or messages, or bypassing the Communications, Space and Technology Commission's rules.
- Hiding that the agent is an AI, or impersonating a person or organization.
- Cloning anyone's voice without their written consent.
- Requesting card details, passwords or one-time codes through the agent.
- Giving medical, legal or financial advice through the agent as professional opinion.
- Any use that violates the laws of Saudi Arabia.
Voices and content
The customer's content and information remain theirs. Cloned voices require documented written consent from the voice owner and are used for that customer only.
Pricing and billing
Prices follow the agreed plan. VAT is added as required by law, and invoices are issued electronically. [Payment, renewal and cancellation details.]
Availability
We work to keep the service running and switch to backup engines if a provider fails. [The service level for businesses is set in the contract.]
Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or puts callers at risk, notifying the customer where possible.
Limitation of liability
[To be drafted with legal counsel.]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
